Orobanche reticulata Thistle Broomrape RRR DD N
This rare parasitic plant grows on chalk or limestone on Yorkshire thistles only. As there are plenty of Cirsium species around the country there seems no reason why it shouldn't grow elsewhere but it doesn't. This one was next to Cirsium arvense.
