Capable of growing at altitudes up to 5,000 feet, this shrub can be quite large although not usually very tall. We found it growing by rivers and on rocks by cliffs. Lonicera pyrenaica is found in the French and Spanish Pyrenees as well as in southern Spain at lower altitude and in the Balearic Islands and Moroocco.
