Linaria aeruginea Roadside Toadflax
Known in the United States as the Roadside Toadflax, I find this plant, as the name suggests in waste places, dry river beds and by the side of the road. It is another attractive Toadflax species which means you can but varieties at garden centres. The flowers can be yellow, whitish, purple brown or as here reddish brown but all have the prominent veins. The species name aerugineus means verdigris green - perhaps this refers to the leaves.
Linaria aeruginea is found widely in southern Spain.
