Lavatera maritima Sea Mallow
This is a large plant over 1.5m tall and with felted grey leaves. Although the name Sea Mallow suggest a coastal plant this one was high in the hills near to the coast.
L. maritima is a western Mediterranean plant which also grows in north Africa.
