Lavatera arborea Tree Mallow
The stands of this plant were over 1.5m tall and combined with the yellow Chrysanthemum (Glebionis) coronaria (Crown daisy) made a spectacular bank of flowers that would enhance any garden.
L. arborea which is native in southern Great Britain can be found in western Mediterranean coastal sites and in north west Africa.
