Larus marinus Great Black Backed Gull
Larus marinus is the largest of the gull family, Laridae, and is common on the coast of the north Atlantic. They are fairly omniverous birds and will investigate anything which looks like food. Being scavengers they can be seen in flocks near rubbish dumps inland where food is plentiful.
