Lamium album White Dead-nettle CCC D N
This very common member of the nettle family has leave quite similar to the Common (Stinging) nettle so non-botanical people are wary of touching them. It doesn't sting of course but is a quite robust plant of waste places. I find very little few round here on our very acid soil so I assume it prefers neutral or basic habitats.
L. album is recorded from virtually every square in England and all except the highest ground in Wales. In Scotland it is uncommon in the north and in Ireland it mostly grows in the east of the island
