Juncus conglomeratus Compact Rush CCC DD N
This is one of the three commonest rushes which I see but identifying it early in its flowering period can lead to confusion with other rushes which are also compact in their early stages. The flowers and fruits stay compact in a tight bunch part way down the stem in C. conglomeratus.
J. conglomeratus is found throughout the British Isles and Ireland.
