Iberis sempervirens Perennial Candytuft C D I
I can vouch for this being a long-lived perennial as the exact same plant was on the rocks above the Gorge when I visited it in 1995. People throw things out over the edge of the Avon Gorge so there is a mixture of the interesting native specialties which have existed for hundreds of years and the hardy garden plants which refuse to die.
Iberis sempervirens has escaped into the English and Welsh countryside here and there but there is little in Scotland or Ireland.
