Although the photo does look like the flower of this plant, the diagnostic features which distinguish it from other similar plants in the Hypericum genus are not shown. "Perforate" refers to the translucent dots which you can usually see without a hand lens on the leaves.

Hypericum perforatum is found in most parts of England, Wales and Scotland the exceptions being northern Scotland and western Ireland where it is scarce
