Hyacinthus amethystinus Pyrenean Hyacinth Endemic
We had some tantlising views of this plant, endemic to the central Pyrenees, in large numbers by the side of the road as we sped past it in the minibus but eventually found a few to photograph. The grass-like leaves make it virtually impossible to locate until it flowers in its usual grassy habitats.
