Homogyne alpina Alpine Coltsfoot
Also known as Purple Coltsfoot, this is a favourite target for rare plant hunters in the British Isles who trek to the one reliable station in Corrie Fee near Glen Clova. It is quite common on the continent of Europe and in a wood on the way home from our excursion we found a large patch of the plants in quite dense shade. It's probably best to look for it in Europe because the chances are very high that the much valued plant in Scotland was actually planted.
