Hieracium iricum   Erin Hawkweeed C? DD N

Hieracium iricum

This plant wasn't in flower but was the hairiest plant we saw on our 2005 Wild Flower Society Teesdale trip. On various websites on the Web this called Irish Hawkweed but Sell and Murell call this the Erin Hawkweed. It is placed in sect Cerinthoidea. The Teesdale site is the most southerly in Great Britain most records coming from Scotland and western Ireland but most records are more than 50 years old.
