Hieracium grandidens Grand-toothed Hawkweed I
The English name of this Hawkweed suggests as the description in Flora of Great Britain and Ireland by Sell and Murell details, that the leaves are usually distinctly toothed. Some were of course but many were not. However the short glandular hairs around the inflorescence is exactly as described. The plant itself is quite tall nearly always with multiple flower heads and pale green, hairy leaves.
It is scattered in the British Isles but is one of the commoner Hawkweeds to be found in Europe.
