Hibbertia hypericoides Yellow Buttercups
Hibbertia species often look quite similar but there is quite a range of some features such as the number of stamens per flower between different species. In H. hypericoides the flowers are deeply notched and there are 10 to 15 stamens which arise from just one side of the flower. This can clearly be seen in the larger image. H. hypericoides is a common species found in many parts of the south west.
