Hakea trifurcata   Two-leaf Hakea Endemic

Hakea trifurcata whole Hakea trifurcata close

As the English name suggests there are two quite different types of leaf on this shrub. One is a thin spike and the other a wide, spoon shaped leaf. The thin, spiked leaves divide into three hence trifurcata in the species name. The flowers can be cream or white with pink parts and the flowering period is quite long, from April to October.

Hakea trifurcata is widespread in south western Australia being found in many places from near Shark Bay to Esperance and nearly out as far as the Gold Fields.
