Grevillea petrophiloides Pink Pokers Endemic
On our way to a wild flower exhibition in Mullewa we looked out for anything interesting by the side of the road where often excellent specimens are to be found. This was one no-one could miss. The huge flowers could be seen from over a hundred metres away and were every bit as impressive close up. Pink Pokers is an apt name for this magnificent plant.
It is found near the coast beyond Geraldton but distribution moves inland and southerly until just beyond Perth after which it is far less common.
