Geranium sylvaticum Wood Crane's-bill
Common though this plant is on the continent, it provides a spectacular splash of colour at the roadsides and on the verges. The flower is smaller than Geranium pratense (Meadow Crane's-bill) which is common in the lowlands of the UK while G. sylvaticum prefers the higher ground.
