Gentianella uliginosa Dune Gentian RRR DDD N
This Gentian can easily be confused with the much commoner Gentianella amarella (Autumn Felwort) which grows in the same place but which flowers later. Fortunately we found this growing in the known site on these dunes and with at least one neighbouring plant having finished flowering. It took some find though even when we knew we were in the correct dune slack.
It is found in south Wales in only a few sites and has been seen in North Devon and on one western Scottish island.
