Euphorbia oblongata Balkan Spurge C DD I
Also known as Eggleaf Spurge in the United States where it has been classified as a noxious weed in some states, this plant is an introduction probably via gardens from the Balkans, Turkey or the Aegian. The knobbly capsules and hairy stems are characterstic of this spurge.
Euphorbia oblongata hasn't escaped much into the wild and is mostly found in the south east of England. It is rare in Scotland, uncommon in Wales and absent from Ireland.
