Eleocharis multicaulis Many-stalked Spike-rush C DD N
This is a tufted plant but in the tangle of vegeation in this cliff-top bog it was difficult to discern the tuftedness. The many stems were apparent though and this helps to identify this member of a group of plants which look remarkably similar to each other.
It is most commonly found in the west of the British Isles with the largest number of records coming form north western Scotland, western Ireland, west Wales and southern England.
