Dryandra (Banksia) nivea Dryandra (Banksia) nivea close

This plants forms mounds up to 40 cm tall with the flowers at the base of the mound. It is thought that the shape of the flower allows nectar collection and pollination by pygmy possums. It is fairly common throughout south western Australia where it is native and endemic. This plant is now known as Banksia nivea.
