Danthonia decumbens Heath-grass CC DD N
Compared with its small size the spikelets of this grass are quite large and remind you of Melica species. It usually has no more than 10 elliptical spikelets in one flower head.
Danthonia decumbens isn't always easy to find in much grassland but it is recorded from almost everywhere in the British Isles although less common in eastern England.
