Crepis mollis   Northern Hawk's-beard RRR DD N

Crepis mollis whole Crepis mollis flowers

The broad untoothed leaves of this plant immediately indicate how different it is from other Hawk's-beards seen on roadside verges. Otherwise at first glance it looks quite similar to more common species such as Crepis vesicaria (Beaked Hawk's-beard).

It is mostly recorded from Northern England and south east Scotland with very little to be found elsewhere.
