Conospermum bracteosum Endemic
Many Conospermum species are hairy or even woolly looking such that the reproductive parts within the flowers are very difficult to discern. In this one I couldn't work out what was flower, bud or even calyx. As the second photo above shows, its habit can be a glorious tangle of spindly stems.
Records show it is found in the eastern wheat belt south of Perth down to the south coast, inland and even further east than Fitzgerald River National Park where this one was photographed.
