Colchicum autumnale Meadow Saffron
At this time of year many of the plants were last producing their last flowers of the year but this was the peak time for C. autumnale. In the hillside meadows between Lezzeno and Ballagio on shores of Lake Como there were many of these beautiful, delicate blooms to be seen.
