The flight to Slovenia actually took us only to Salzburg from where a coach journey across the mountains took us to Slovenia which I had never visited before. Naturally I looked at the flora from the coach window and very quickly saw many plants of this beautiful blue Clematis. On our various walks around the hills and mountains of Slovenia, we saw plenty of examples of this plant. Slovenia is a wonderful country with spectacular views, a terrific flora and a welcoming people.
