Cardamine raphanifolia   Greater Cuckoo-flower

Cardamine raphanifolia whole Cardamine raphanifolia close

More often called Radish-leaved Cuckoo-flower by English botanists abroad, Cardamine raphanifolia (raphanifolia means Radish-leaved) plant had the same attraction for insects as the occasionally introduced plants seen in England. On my last vist to south Cumbria to see this plant it was covered in Orange tip butterflies and here in the Pyrenees it was visited by several species including the striking Black-veined White which can be seen on the Butterflies pages.
