Cardamine raphanifolia Greater Cuckooflower DD I
his Southern European introduction looks at first glance like a strongly coloured Cardamine pratensis (Cuckooflower) but closer examination shows that the sinuate/crenate leaves are very cabbage looking and nothing like the finely divided leaves of Cheshire's County Flower. Both like wet places and like C. pratensis this one happily grows actually in the shallow water.
This plant has escaped in a few places in England, Wales and southern Scotland but is not found in Ireland.
