Usually found in swampy or wet areas, this member of the Fabaceae family is native to Western Australia but has become an invasive introduction in other parts of the country. It is most often found near the coastal areas and inland from there from Perth, down to Margaret River and along the south coast to Albany with outliers in the Fitzgerald National Park.

It is also known as Wonnich.
