Burchardia multiflora    Dwarf Burchardia Endemic

Burchardia multiflora whole Burchardia multiflora close

There are five species in the Burchardia genus of which three grow to a height of 0.5 metres or less so the common name doesn't tell you much. It is named after the German botanist, Johann Heinrich Burckhard (1676 – 1738) who was a botanist, physician and a numismatist.

Burchardia multiflora is quite common occurring in the Swan Coastal plain from beyond Albany in the south and to Beekeepers National park north of Perth, and inland.
