Astragalus danicus Purple Milk-vetch R DD N
This is a plant I had searched for in various places for many years where it was a "cert" and not found it. As often happens, once found I had no difficulty in seeing it again in flower in good numbers at all the sites where previously I had failed. Although locally abundant at many of it sites such as this one at Littleferry, it is declining elsewhere particularly in south eastern England. The British plant is ssp danicus.
It has a mostly eastern distribution on the coast of mainland Britain with just a couple of outposts in Ireland.
