Arum maculatum Lords-and-ladies or Cuckoo Pint CC DD N
A plant of the woods and shady places, this is also one of the very first to show its distinctive sagittate leaves in Spring. The flower isn't as easy to find in then places where I look because it always seems to be eaten by something. The fruits are green then bright red in the late summer early Autumn.
It is very common in England, Wales and Ireland but becomes less frequent in the north of Scotland.
