Apium nodiflorum Fool's-water-cress
A common plant in the British Isles where there are plenty of wet habitats which this plant needs, it was quite a surprise to find it in this very parched east Eagean island. Most of the seaside towns were particularly scorched at this time of year (Rhodes is greener towards the centre and on the hills) but we stumbled upon a little freshwater stream complete with aquatic plants and rare dragonflies.
