One or two plants were just coming into flower in August but by September it was obviously a quite common plant in this south western tip of Australia. Andersonia caerulea is common in the far south western corner of western Australia but absent from the rest of the territory.

The insect on the large photo looks like a predatory bush cricket of some kind.
