Amyema linophylla Endemic

Amyema linophylla whole Amyema linophylla close

In this genus the Mistletoes tend to disguise themselves with similar leaves to the host and so can confuse the beginner in Western Australian botany. I took this photo in 2007 but only identified the plant in 2013 after seeing another Amyema mistletoe with similar red flowers. It is found around and to the north of the Perth area usually parasitic upon Casuarina (Sheoaks).
