Acacia longifolia ssp sophorae   Coast Wattle Endemic

Acacia longifolia ssp sophorae Acacia longifolia ssp sophorae

This is an Australian endemic native to south eastern Australia and Tasmania. This sub species often has a tiny mucronate tip (little spike) to the leaves. The leaves of this wattle have anastomosing (making a network) veins and pale lemon yellow flowers in a spike which flower in the early spring. Even at this time of year some we found at Binalong Bay were nearly over.
