Aphantopus hyperantus   Ringlet

Aphantopus hyperantus Aphantopus hyperantus wings open

The left hand photo was taken in a small glade where we'd seen the Red Admiral, a Peacock, a Brimstone, a Tortoiseshell and a White Admiral and as if that wasn't enough, this Ringlet came to pose for a photo.

The right hand butterfly came out briefly on a warm but cloudy day and attempting to warm up a bit, posed with open wings in the grassland.
