Comma   Polygonia c-album

Polygonia c-album Polygonia c-album

Not uncommon in the flower meadows of the Pyrenees, this Comma looked darker than the ones we see in the British Isles. The distinctive white mark which gives the Comma its name is very obvious on the underside photograph. Also the underside shows how well camouflaged the butterfly would be amongst fallen leaves.
