Xanthorrhoea gracilis Graceful Grass Tree Endemic
The lower leaves of this plant as you might expect are very grass like and the pedicel (flower stalk) very long with no bracts or leaves. This means that it is sometimes hard to make the whole plant out against the background of bush vegetation and photos in this habitat can be tricky. It is quite common and found from just north of Perth down to Margaret River and along the coast to Albany in a fairly large area.
