Viburnum tinus   Laurustinus I

Vibernum tinus Vibernum tinus

This is a shrub which can start to flower remarkably early and you can usually find some in flower in December or even earlier. Mostly it is a plant found in parks and shrubberies of gardens but it escapes into the wild occasionally.

Viburnum tinus has escaped most successfully in the south of England but other hot spots include the are of north Wales where this one was photographed. Other wise it is dotted her and there with fewer records as you go north. There is little in Scotland and in Ireland it is mostly found on the south east coast.
