Spiraea x pseudosalicifolia whole Spiraea x pseudosalicifolia flower spike

This is the hybrid between Spiraea douglasii (Steeple-bush) and Spiraea salicifolia (Bridewort). It has intermediate features such as serrated leaves and some pubescence. It is a garden plant which escapes readily.

It has been recorded throughout the British Isles with particular concentrations in the lowlands of Scotland and north west England.
