Spartina anglica Common Cord-grass C DD N
This grass stands out from the rest on the Newborough shore line having long, thin distinct flowering heads. Spartina Anglica is the only plant of the Spartina genus to have been identified in this part of Anglesey.
Spartina anglica is common around the caosts of England and Wales and much of Ireland but there is far less in Scotland and hardly any in the far north.
