Sisymbrium officinale Hedge Mustard CC D N
Sisymbrium officinale is a common weed of waste places, roadside verges and arable land, making it one of the commonest of the native yellow crucifers. It isn't easy to take a representative photograph because the very small flowers are always in a tight bunch at the top of the fairly tall flowering stems with adpressed fruits below and leaves even further down the stem.
Sisymbrium officinale is very common in England, Wales, Ireland and common around the industrial belts of Scotland but not in the open hilly northern countryside.
