Sedum rupestre Reflexed Stonecrop
Although it was impossible to get near enough for a close-up to see details, the pendant flower stems in bud are typical of Sedum rupestre. As expected it was growing on rocks and had just started to flower. The numbers of petals vary from 5 to 7 and the leaves drop off when dead unlike the similar Sedum forsterianum (Rock Stonecrop) with which it can be confused.
It is found in much of France, italy and Spain and many other countries where it is a native plant and has been introduced to Australia, United Sates and the United Kingdom.
