Schedonorus pratensis Meadow Fescue CC DD N
This is one of our commonest grasses and has stems between 40 cm and 80 cm tall but fairly narrow leaves. It is used as a fodder crop. It is a tufted perennial grass found throughout England, Ireland and Wales and common in Scotland except for the highest mountain in the north.
In New Flora of the British Isles Edition 3 (2010) by Clive Stace the name of this species was changed from Festuca pratensis to Schedonorus pratensis.
