Scaevola crassifolia with its large, almost succulent leaves (crassifolia = thick leaves) is a tree which grows near the coast hardly straying inland at all. It prefers limestone or dune areas which is exactly where this one was found. The coastal distribution ranges from beyond Karratha in the north all along the western coast and beyond Esperance.
