Rubus tricolor Chinese Bramble I
This introduction from China doesn't always flower so it was and excellent discovery to see that there were both flowers and fruits on this shrub. The flowers and fruits are bramble like but the leaves are very distinctive and make this Rubus species easy to identify.
Although there is little to be found in Scotland and Ireland it has escaped successfully in the north of England and occasionally in the south where this one was seen.
