This plant is actually a native but it would be difficult these days to be sure that the shrub under consideration wasn't a bird sown garden escape. The flowers are white like this one but fruits are usually red and occasionally yellow or even white. The leaf above the flower is untypical of those on the rest of the shrub and of R. idaeus.

Rubus idaeus is found throughout the British Isles.
