Rubus armeniacus Bramble Himalayan Giant I
This genus normally needs expert botanists to identify the different micro-species but a few, of which this is one, can be determined by lesser experts. Our leader on this WFS London meeting quickly identified this plant with its very large and distinctive stalked leaves.
Rubus armeniacus has escaped successfully into the wild throughout England but is scarcer in Wales and Scotland and only occasionally found in Ireland.
